Chapter 2: Installation and Configuration

TheAvalancheEnablerisinstalledonyourmobiledevicesusingActiveSync.Youcan

configuretheEnableratthetimeofinstallationorlaterthroughtheAvalancheConsoleusing

theAvalancheEnablerconfigurationpackage.Ifyouhaveconfigurednetworkormobile

deviceprofilesthatyouwanttousetoconfigurethedevice,youcanexportthosefromthe

AvalancheConsoleandapplythemontheEnableratthetimeofinstallation.

FutureconfigurationchangestotheEnablercanbedeployedfromtheAvalancheConsole

usingtheEnablerConfigurationPackage.Someconfigurationoptionsarealsoavailableonthe

deviceoncetheEnablerhasbeeninstalled.

installedonthedevicebyusingtheincludedconfigurationutility.

Running the Executable File

YoucanobtaintheEnablerexecutablefilefromtheWavelinkwebsiteorbycontacting

WavelinkCustomerService.SavethisfileonacomputerwithActiveSyncorWindowsMobile

DeviceCenterinordertobeabletoinstalltheEnableronyourdevice.

To install:

1 SavetheEnablerfiletoacomputerwithActiveSyncorWindowsMobileDeviceCenterand

double-clicktheEnablerexecutablefile.

AWelcomedialogboxappears.
